From Idea to Archive

Projects in the village follow a natural lifecycle. They are not permanent. They are not performance reviews. They are containers for work that has a beginning, a middle, and an end.

A Real Example

Imagine someone wants to create a beach cleanup guide for the North Shore. Here is how that project might live:

1. Idea — Someone mentions it in a message or a meeting.

2. Folder — A shared folder is created in the KDV Projects group space.

3. Document — A draft is written collaboratively. Photos are added. Routes are mapped.

4. Action — The guide is published to the village website and shared with local organizations.

5. Archive — The project is marked complete. The folder stays for reference but is no longer active.

The Important Lesson

Projects end. Nothing stays messy forever. When work is done, it is honored and archived — not abandoned.

You do not need to start a project right now. You just need to know that when you are ready, the structure exists to support you.
