The village has stewards — people who keep things running, answer questions, and help when something feels stuck. They are not customer support. They are neighbors who know the systems well.

Announcements

Village-wide announcements appear in your Nextcloud notification area. Important updates may also arrive by email. These are rare and intentional — we do not send noise.

Notifications

You will receive notifications when:

  • Someone shares a file with you
  • A project you are part of has an update
  • Your storage is getting full
  • A class has new material

Messaging Etiquette

Messages in the village are calm. There is no expectation of instant replies. If someone messages you, respond when you can. If you message a steward, expect a reply within a day — usually sooner.

When to Reach Out

Anytime. Seriously. If something is confusing, broken, or just feels off — say something. The worst thing that can happen in a village is silent frustration.
